Member Benefits 039-1: Sand Buff Shine
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Sand Buff Shine, , 11:01 amYou are awesome. I am so blessed to have you as my teacher. I have come a long way since I have been learning from you , and I have been playing for about ten years, only now I have no fingerprints and the beads feel so soft and wonderful. Thank you for all of your lessons! ~Karonkay >> This comment was originally posted here: Sculpted Iris Flower Beads
Being new here, the 1st lesson I did was your Aurora technique – om goodness – wow and a bunch of other happy sounds could be heard as I buffed and the beads began to shine :) I wanted to share a sanding aha moment – the first few beads I started with 320 then 400 w/d then went thru my stack of micro pads – the colors were very bright and beautifully bold – for the next set of beads I only used the stack of micro pads and wow again! Totally different and yet the subtleness of them struck me with awe. Thank you Cindy so much. ~Tantesherry >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Metal Mokume Gane
I too got the mica shift mood and did some great ones thanks to your tutorial. I especially loved the clay on the bottle trick. It makes the slicing down so much easier. And you are totally correct in the sanding and buffing makes all the difference in the world. I had a couple that didn’t even look like the shift happened until I sanded them. Way cool technique and your tips make all the difference (as usual). ~Laurel-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Easy Mica Shift

Member Benefits 038-4: Techniques Tools
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Techniques Tools, , 11:01 amWOW! This much easier than I thought – Love Cindy’s way KISS (keep it simple stoopid). No wonder we keep coming back for MORE. I would like to climb in Cindy’s mind LOL. I would never leave. Thanks to Cindy and Doug for these wonderful tutes. ~Patt-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Butterfly Wing Cane Video
Cindy, you’ve done it again. I am always amazed at how you even simplify what on first glance seems to be a simple process. First I would have tried to make too many layers for my cutters and then I would have tried to ram the centers into each other and wonder why my designs came out so squashed. This is why you make the mistakes so I don’t have to… so worth the modest fee of your site. Thanks for so many great tutorials. It’s the high point of my weekend! ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Cookie Cutter Canes

Member Benefits 038-3: Video Learning
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Video Learning, , 11:01 amI feel blessed to have Cindy and Doug as teachers. I just saw someone else selling a tutorial on making your own texture sheets for a whopping $39.95 which is more than what we pay here, for a full year of weekly video lessons. ** I think I will keep my teacher :) ~Brenda-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor
Cindy – just wanted to tell you that I love your tutorials. I have learned more in the last two weeks than I have in the last four years. I love working with clay but you have made it into an obsession for me. I learn so much faster when I can see it done rather than reading and making so many mistakes. I had made up my mind to pay for the video lessons at another site, at upwards of fifty dollars for just one class. Then I stumbled upon your site. Wow!!! you have made it affordable even for those of us on a limited income. THANK You so much! I will continue to purchase all the back issues as I can and look forward to all the new ones. Again thanks for being there. ~Karon-C >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Jewelry
Cindy I just have to tell you that this technique is a wonderful addition to your teaching. Beautiful and it looks easy for a technique that at first seemed intimidating. One other thing I want to say. I just purchased a video from another publisher about resin work. The artist is quite well known, as well as the company. However, the quality of the video was no where comparable to your videos. You and your husband do such a wonderful job producing your videos that it is the standard from which I judge others… and I have yet to find any that don’t come up short! Your instructions are clear, the photography is excellent, and the boxed close ups are so valuable. You do beautiful work, and provide a great value too. I look forward to each Friday! ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Lietz Teardrop Blend Color

Member Benefits 038-2: Jewelry & Projects
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Jewelry & Projects, , 11:01 amCindy, My husband gave me the ultimate compliment when he noticed that the pendants I made for this year’s church bazaar were “light years” better than last year’s. I must say that one reason for this is the online education you provide us. Thank you! ~Maria-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Beads
LOVE YOUR SITE – I’m just starting my jewelry business and decided after much processing in different directions that I needed more creativity than just stringing pretty beads on wire. I needed creation, ART! It’s so relaxing to do clay and there’s an immediate (12 hours non-stop) gratification about it. Gotta love that. Thanks for making all those mistakes so that I can get to making finished pieces that don’t look like blobs of cooked clay. ~Emily-G >> This comment was originally posted here: Creating Your Own Beads for Jewelry Making
Just wanted to share that I gave my Mum a pendant and ear-ring set with the mica shift technique, buffed to a high shine then coated in floor polish. A high compliment (I thought) came back to me is that a doctor at her work (she’s an ER nurse) asked what kind of “stone” it was. I must have done a good job on it. ~Sandra-J >> This comment was originally posted here: Buffing Polymer Clay Beads
