Member Benefits 040-2: Video Learning

I guarantee, and everyone here will back me up, that you can’t go wrong in becoming a member. So many have said they thought they knew how to do a technique Cindy has done a tutorial on, only to watch her way and realize she does it better and/or faster. The video quality cannot be beat – all shots are up close, in focus, and of terrific quality so you actually see exactly what it is she’s doing, in addition to her easy to understand, step-by-step instructions. She has taken so many of us from “fumbling newbies” to actual artistic creators in such short periods of time it’s almost unreal, and I know a lot of us wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are today if not for her tutorials. One of her motto’s is “I learned by making the mistakes – Now you don’t have to” and that’s exactly what she does – she tries things out and presents them to us after they pass the Cindy test! So that small amount every three months is actually a great money, and time, saver! I hope you decide to join us! ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes and Videos
This membership has been vital to me and the cost very, very manageable, even though I could say I definitely have a low income. Actually, in comparison to the actual supplies and extras that I have purchased for this art form, the tutorials are the real bargain!!! I love Cindy’s voice, too, and her method of teaching us. I have bought a few other tutorials elsewhere on the web when there is a little extra money available and while they are very good written instructions, they just do not compare in any way with Cindy’s and Doug’s videos in quality, thoroughness or bang for my buck. I will be forever grateful that I found this website. Thank you so much, Cindy and Doug! ~Becky-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Videos
I absolutely agree. I’m a teacher too and I can recognize good teaching. Cindy is the best teacher. I’ve watched a lot of other jewelry videos and read books but it makes a big difference watching Cindy. You can pause the video and actually go along with her. She makes things so simple and easy you simply get encouraged and motivated to try it out. And Doug’s photos are amazing – the clarity and angles. It’s certainly worth every cent and the cost is a real deal. I would encourage anyone to definitely sign on and buy the membership. I have bought the whole collection and I’m so glad I did. ~Cheryl-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Member Benefits 040-1: Techniques Tools
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Techniques Tools, , 11:01 amOMG how do you come up with all these amazing polymer clay techniques? Sorry I’ve not chatted for a while but very busy at work. I can not wait to give this and your disc beads a try. Please never stop. You truly are my inspiration. ~Paul-A >> This comment was originally posted here: Pattern Backgrounds Polymer Clay Tutorial
Cindy, I finally decided to buff my beads… and yes they sparkle and are very pretty (some of them – it takes some getting used to knowing how much pressure and all). And yes I sent three of them flying across the room – did not think I would find them ever again. They went pinging all over before settling to the floor. But I enjoyed it and they shine like glass and you are right I do not need to use the glaze anymore. It certainly added a depth that I would not have gotten with the glaze. I seem to be in a chatty mood tonight so I will share a short story with all of you about how lucky we are to have Cindy as our teacher (I know you already know that) but… My sister- lives in D.C. we have many interests in common, she does mostly wire work, decided to take a clay class last weekend. She wanted to see what I was raving about when I told her about Cindy and the tutorials. And The class was on making Calla Lilies – which I had told her I was doing as one of our classes. She paid three times what we pay for three months of classes for a single afternoon! she went to the class, and was very disappointed with it as they did not learn how to make a skinner blend or anything that Cindy teaches and we tend to take for granted. They painted their clay to get color. So, Cindy I want you to know how grateful I am for all your teaching skills and how blessed we are that you take your time to teach us and help make our creations great. And for holding my hand through my fears of using the buffer. ~Karon-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Buffing Polymer Clay Beads

I never would have figured out how to make this. Really neat technique, tried it and came out great. I got a Makins extruder a couple months ago. ~Anna-S >> This comment was originally posted here: How to Make a Mod Cane

Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Health Wellness, , 11:01 amSeveral years ago I fell and fractured my shoulder which meant a lot of therapy. Working with polymer clay has helped to strengthen my muscles and puts me in a zone where I’m concentrating and everything and all cares are moot. ~June-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay as Creative Art Therapy
Hi Cindy, Just wanted to tell you that I just finished watching the Johnny Jump Up Cane video and you are right by saying that it would make me smile! I am going through a series of difficult life / health issues with my family and self lately and your videos are very much bright spots to me during this time! I look forward to each new one to come out! You are so much more than just a Polymer Clay Tutor – you are a ray of sunshine to those who are under dark rain clouds too! Thank you so much for being the person who you are and for ALL that you do for others! xoxoxoxoxoxo. ~Lori-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials
Knowing we are loved makes all the difference – and you will find, as I have, that ‘Cindy’s Group’ is loving above all. I thank God daily for bringing her [and her great teaching talent] into my life. It has helped me overcome so much. And, smushing that clay even seems to help the arthritis and fibromyalgia. Hang in there, Lynn. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Friends and Support Continue reading this entry »

Filed in 3: Member Benefits,International, , 11:01 amNORWAY: Thank you for your informative videos. They are so easy to follow, and you are speaking so clearly that I almost forgett it isn’t my language! I’m – like many others in this forum – looking forwards to the Fridays. An entusiastic supporter. ~Synnove-O >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Metal Mokume Gane
IRELAND: I have almost the same experience as Laura. There are no classes here in Southern Ireland so I had booked one in London at the price of £125.00. After finding your website I canceled the London flight, London hotel and London class (a saving of almost 500 euros). And I decided to learn from your site and spend that money on lots of the tools you suggested. So now I think I am just brilliant and I feel like an artist – which I am most certainly NOT. After work every day I cannot wait to get my fingers going. I have found my passion in life and I await your Intermediate Course. Your videos are well worth the few dollars you charge! Thanks for all your help that I needed last week. ~Angela-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials
BRAZIL: Hi Cindy. The way you put this Kaleidoscope Cane tutorial was absolutely great. I have no words to express the joy I am feeling to have learned a so beautifull technique and intimidantly looking as you have said, in a so simple and smart way. Thanks from Brazil. ~Monica-D >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay

Member Benefits 039-2: Tutoring Support
Filed in 3: Member Benefits,Tutoring Support, , 11:01 amCindy – You are the most straightforward person I have found on the net on polymer clay usage. ~Branny-D >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library
Isn’t the internet an amazing thing. Not only can I use it as a learning tool but also find kind friendly people with the same interests as mine. I started collecting pc making tools years ago but was so afraid to try making anything. I had a stack of print outs from online research. And I watched the Carol Duval show forever. Finally, last fall I got the itch to start and stumbled on to Cindy’s tutorials. Wow, did that make a difference in my confidence. From then my daughters all started asking me if I would make them jewelry. From there others asked to buy some of my pieces. I have Cindy to thank for my new hobby. ~Carolyn-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Lesson
Cindy I will support you anyway I can! I always “talk” about you and what it has meant to me to have “found you”! LOVE this group I have found! Love the “tut” teacher… was positively “AMAZED” when I emailed her way back at the start and received a personal reply in MINUTES!!!! She cares, it shows and she is wonderfully appreciated in this clayers heart! Keep up the great work! Also love the blog. Love the way you all share!!! Very thankful I found you all! ~Bonnie-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Teardrop Blend Technique
