Member Benefits 048-4: Course Feedback
Hi Cindy, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give feedback on the course. I have to say that I wouldn’t have known what materials and supplies to buy before your course, as there always seemed to be too much choice and it was hard to know where to start. I have also been looking through some old books as well as going over your course. Consequently I now feel much more confident in starting. Your visuals have helped to clarify much of the material in the books, so now I feel that I will be starting the correct way from the beginning, rather than the hit and miss affair I was originally envisaging. Your tutorials are excellent. Very clear and slow enough to easily follow. I also like the short format, enough to get started but not too much to take in. Although I am a true beginner I find that when I view your more advanced videos, I actually feel I could do them with a bit of practice. So I’m looking forward to using all your hints and tips. ~Linda-H >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Artists
Hi Cindy, Just wanted to let you know that your Polymer Clay Basics Course is awesome! I have learned a lot from your videos. Before finding your course I was watching You Tube videos to try and figure out how to use polymer clay. Some of them were ok, but nothing like yours. You go into great detail, and for a beginner like me it helps tremendously. I have already made some of the Book Beads. My youngest daughter, Brittany and her soon to be in-laws read a lot so I think a cool looking bookmark is something that will be used a lot and appreciated as well. I look forward to learning more from you. Thanks! ~Patricia-M >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Book Beads
Cindy, I wanted to let you know that I found the Beginners course extremely helpful. Even though some of the tips seem so simple, they were things that would have taken me years to figure out. You gave me confidence to try other lessons that you offer like how to make beads for these Pandora style cable bracelets. After making one for myself, two folks admired it and ordered them from me! Your courses are definitely worth the money. ~Susan-W >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Pandora Style Beads
Even though I have been working with polymer clay for years on and off. I was still making beginner mistakes… so I bit the bullet and purchased Cindy’s Beginner course tonight. Just watched 2 sections of the course and I have learned some basic mistakes I was making and have corrected them. ~Natalie-H >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Hi Cindy, I REALLY enjoyed the Beginners Course and I am wading through all of the back issues that I bought. I am trying to just look at everything and then I will go back and work on them in depth, one at a time. I love your informal presentation. It is like having someone in my home showing me the in’s and out’s of how to work with polymer clay. I also like when you include your mistakes or when the cane is not behaving as you want it to. I tried to find a class or two in my area and I could not find one. Actually, I think this online arrangement is better because I can go back and review the videos. Thanks for all your help. ~Cathy-R >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Mokume Gane
Hi Cindy, Thank you so much for your polymer clay basics course videos. It sure saves a lot of time and frustration when you are able to see how things are done firsthand from someone who is a professional. Your tips make the experience go much smoother. I am just beginning to work with clay again. Tried several years ago but was not happy at all with the outcome. When I found your videos I got so inspired that I went out and got all the tools and purchased a few of my favorite back issue videos off of your library site, but then again, I keep finding new favorites! It is nice to know that nothing is a throw-away. You can just keep building from the foundation of an old piece of clay. I like that! Keep those video coming! Sincerely. ~Sherry-M >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Library
Cindy, I have been doing crafts and art works for years. I’m 62 and just retired from my office job in December 2011. Last summer I was at a juried art show and met a woman selling polymer clay items. Her work was so inspiring and beautiful, I was so anxious to learn all I could about it and see if I could do it too. I found your web site and really enjoyed the easy way you explain things and offer so many little helpful hints. There is much to learn about this craft I’m finding out, but am having so much fun working with it. You gave me a kick start with your beginner course videos on my new venture, and I hope many others will follow you and learn how much fun polymer clay can be! Thanks. ~Brenda-R >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Sculpted Flowers
Cindy – although I knew about polymer clay “somewhat”, you have shed light on so many little [but QUITE necessary] intricacies that will make such a difference as I move forward in my journey! Your tutorials truly are as if you were sitting right next to me giving instruction in such an understandable way! I’m so excited, and I’m only about 1/3 of the way through the course videos! Thanks again! I have paid a whole lot more $$ for a whole lot less – WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! ~Sue-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Color Recipes
I’ve bought so many books over the last 20 years and only a small handful still sit on my bookcase shelf. Your course covers not only as many lovely ideas but makes them accessible to folk like me! A series of photos doesn’t always do it. I’m getting cute about books now; one of my major bugbears is when they include a picture on the cover, obviously intended to sell the book, which turns out to be one of the ‘guest’ pictures from the gallery, and hence no instructions! I consider this to be fraud. But there’s nothing fraudulent about what you and Doug do. Everything is there for everyone to learn. I think you two are nothing short of incredible sharing everything with anyone who’s willing to pay just 11cents a day! When I joined I asked if you’d be able to continue for any length of time, as it seemed to me there was only a limited number of different techniques. You assured me that you’d be around for a long time to come, and you were right! ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem enough somehow, but you have my sincere thanks anyway. ~Marion-R >> This comment was originally posted here: Marbled Combing Technique
I have to say I am SOO excited! I love your teaching style and obviously, after I watched the first free video, I couldn’t purchase the beginner’s course fast enough… and then the same feeling for the membership. I am happy to have found you. ~Sharia-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Beginners Course
