Thank you Cindy for another year of WONDERFUL polymer clay tutorials and rainbow color palettes; and thank you Doug for such EXCELLENT VIDEOGRAPHY. ENJOYED every lesson … and am trying my best to keep up with past purchased lessons as well as even the basic course. Thank you so much for your willingness and joy in sharing your knowledge with all of us. Like so many others, I am very appreciative of your massive library of e-videos and color recipes and am a lifelong fan/e-student. Cheers for a bright New Year. ~Yong-R >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Video Library
Cindy – I’ve never commented on your color recipes, but appreciate them and your videos so much. No doubt there are plenty of others like me who sorta hang out in the background and let others do most of the talking. I don’t make jewelry – the necklaces, earrings etc. – but I spend hours making things to give away. Tons of key rings, badge reels, magnets, bookmarks, etc. I’ve covered lots of tins that everyone seems to like. Little kids especially seem to love them. And I get lots of comments back from people who seem to like to take the beads and turn them into pendants, earrings and bracelets themselves. I put lots of beads on the little ball chains and tell people to attach them to gift packages or cards. I’m well into my senior years – have mobility problems so don’t get out that much. I do have a great mobility scooter that weighs under 40 pounds so I can lift it and put it in the back of my SUV which lets me get to Hobby Lobby and Home Depot to get some of the supplies you recommend. But I mostly shop via the internet. Your videos mean the world to me – so thank you so much for all that you and your family do that make my days so much fun. And to all you other people who – like me – have neglected to tell Cindy how much you enjoy those color recipes and her videos – do it now!! ~Fran-R >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Color Recipes and Videos
Well, to my two cents worth into this topic I have to admit I was going crazy at first. I couldn’t find good videos, dvd’s, or books that were an arm and a leg in cost. Plus, there was always something missing. When I stumbled on Cindy’s Polymer Clay Tutor site, before she charged for her videos, I couldn’t believe the Jack Pot I found! Her slogan: “I have learned by making mistakes….so you don’t have too!” was just what I was looking for! I couldn’t believe she was doing this for FREE. Thank goodness she decided that only $3.32 a month would make it easier to keep the videos and color recipes coming! We all know the time and resources needed to make this project succeed is NOT cheap! The time she saves us by breaking down the steps is worth a ton! I would gladly pay $10 a month! So, to say this membership only costs me $9.99 every 3 months is insane!! Can’t thank you enough, Cindy and Doug! I think I may need to start a new group called: PCA or Polymer Clay Anonymous!! Because I can’t stop playing with my clay!!!!! ~Catalina-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Art Sheets
Ah Cindy, your skills are so clever. I don’t sell a lot of my jewelry because I don’t think it is good enough, but the Museum of Art thought it was and wanted 15 sets for their store. I know I would not have gotten this far without Cindy’s wonderful videos. I am so grateful I finally bit the bullet and decided to join her group. Her teaching style has given me a lot more confidence in myself and a need to want to try harder to bring out whatever talents I do possess. So for anyone out there who is contemplating joining and spending the money, please don’t hesitate… it is the best investment you will ever make. ~DixieAnnn-S >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Tutorials
This is an excellent video tutorial, loaded with information. I will watch it several times for all the specifics. It boggles my mind to see how you have condensed this to only the essentials, yet still cover all the potential problems. ~Jocelyn-C >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Faux Wood Veneer Video
“WOW!!!! You are sooooo smart Cindy… not sure I have the patience to make 100 of those little petals for a pair of earrings… maybe I can speed it up like on your video! I love your videos, I learn so much and your subscription price just cannot be beat! Wish I had found you before I spent sooo much money on books!” ~Cheryl-D >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Red Clover Flower Beads
I don’t buy books much anymore, it was that the Blackburn book had so many different techniques in it and caught my eye at the time and it was Pre-Cindy. Cindy’s to do list is SO LONG… but I HAVE learned enough to be able to go back and figure out the missing information that the books I do have omitted, matter of fact that once I finally succeed with the combing technique doing Cindy’s way, there is something I want to try and would love to see how Cindy would tackle it (and it’s probably on her list anyway). For the small amount I gladly pay for the tutorials, the knowledge I’ve gained allows me to make the instructions in the books easy to figure out. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Marbled Combing Technique
Hi Cindy and polypeeps. Well I am nearly brain-dead after trying to get my new printer to be nice to my new little laptop. Read the instructions a zillion times but didn’t “get it”. Took a simple suggestion from DH (after he made me a cup of tea and told me to calm down), and hey presto it worked!! Why do written instructions just go over my head? I attempted making a “brain cane” from written instructions many moons ago but was not pleased with the result… PC (PRE- CINDY). Watching CINDY showing us all the steps, advising us on the results of reduction and what happens to the colours, all makes so much sense to me now. As she said, the colours she chose looked quite garish before she worked her magic using her colour-shift method. I am just so glad that I stumbled upon our Polymer Clay Tutor. I can now be proud of the end products (using CINDY’S fail-safe methods). Even if I do not “get it” the first time I know that I can go back into my Library and try again and again till I eventually say “Jeronimo” or words to that effect. So a BIG thank you Cindy, what would I (and heaps of others) do without our weekly dose of your feel good medicine. ~Elaine-F >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Rose Brain Cane Tutorial
I was holding off on leaving a reply as I didn’t want to be easily impressed by this site, but.. I am very impressed. I enjoy each lesson so much it inspires me on to creative play. The die cutting one, I did not think would interest me and then once I watched … I’m getting a die cut machine … getting the bigkick on sale via amazon and watching the video many times. I’m enjoying this so much. Thanks Cindy. Keep up the good work. You know how to inspire in short videos. The faux wood and die cut have me so excited to try. Very good. ~Patty-J >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Die Cutting Techniques
Dear Cindy: All of your videos have been super great! Just not long enough. I wish you could put a new one out 3 times a week. You have a pleasant speaking voice and the camera work is good too. The info is complete, easy to follow and entertaining. God bless you from all of us. ~Zoe-K >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Beginners
That is one wire technique I would be really happy to learn! Usually when it comes to videos, I would prefer to have “all polymer, all the time” (lol). You can learn wire techniques all over the web, books, magazines, etc. It’s the polymer techniques that are harder to come by. But when you throw a torch into the mix, I think I need a bit of video guidance. Although I did come across some, I always prefer a Cindy-video, since your tutorials are the best! Every video you produce is so well done. You cover every aspect of the technique, and throw in tips, tricks, money-saving ideas, etc. That’s why I’d put my faith in you when playin’ with fire! ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Library
How has your paid membership has been helpful for me…? Well I have seen a lot of polymer clay works and often I wonder… How did they do that? I really like your videos because now I’m learning the answers! Techniques are really what I like learning about. Thanks Cindy. ~JoAnne-N >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Leopard Cane Tutorial Video
WOW! WOW! WOW! Just watched the tute and I am drooling. What a wonderful gift God has blessed you with. Love the beads and can’t wait to make some. You won the world series with this one Cindy. Once again Doug aces the filming and waa-la total perfection. Beautiful team work. Now to go watch the crackles paint and be me. Hats off to the Lietz team once again!!! THANK YOU both. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Pandora Style Beads Video
Hi Cindy – I just watched your studio tour, showing the use of the storage drawers. AMAZING AMAZING!!!!! I actually have the same drawers in my studio, BUT I didn’t know you could store unopened clay in them. I am going to re-organize TODAY :) :) Thanks so much for all your wonderful ideas and tips, tricks and techniques. You have been such a great inspiration, I have used a few of your techniques (new to the site) and I can’t even get the pieces priced or packaged before my teenage daughter and her friends want the new pieces. I always know where to look if I can’t find a particular item. Ha Ha. Again I cant wait to watch the rest of your videos. I have alot of back issues to watch yet. Your Site is the best thing since they invented polymer Clay. I cant tell you enough how much more I have learned, watching you, than I did in the actual class I took and I paid ALOT more. I even showed the instructor your site. She was excited to subscribe also. ~Kelli-N >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Tutor
Cindy, thank you, I really enjoyed seeing how the Ikat pattern worked. I’ve seen it in books but it didn’t compute as well as actually watching. And the books didn’t show how to manipulate the pattern into different layouts. Well done! ~Angela-M >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Diamond Pattern Ikat Cane
I have a lot of paper punches from scrapbooking including the mini ones! Thanks Cindy and Doug for all the great tutorials. ~Lupe-M >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Tutorial Videos
Oh gosh!!! You made this much easier than the book …lol. Hopefully I can get to it tomorrow. Have my non crafty grandson tonight …lol. These are so pretty. ~Pollyanna >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Dogwood Flower Pendant Project
Just watched the Video. It was awesome as usual. I can see using this technique in several ways. ~Brenda-M >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Faux Wood Cane Video
Thank you for all your great video tutorials. I want to quit my day job and play with clay!!! ~Patricia-L >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Polymer Clay Guilds
Excellent tutorial Cindy. I’ve read about this technique, but it is so much better watching you demonstrate it and giving your tips and hints. All your tutorials are great but I particularly like the ones to do with surface treatments. ~Fran-Y >> This comment was originally posted at the following link: Etching Premo Sculpey
