Dear Cindy, There you go again… teaching us how to smile and work happily with our artistic muse (I think she is you!), and taking the frustration out of working with polymer clay! You are such a natural, clear and precise teacher! Thank you so much for that. Your sunflower picture and color recipes are making me burst with excitement!!! I will be trying the new color combinations this evening (who knows what lovelies I will come up with now!). You have really inspired me, and I have tons of ideas running through my mind now that I see how combining colors from the clay packages creates COUNTLESS POSSIBILITIES!!! :) You are teaching me that working with color in PC is very similar to working with color in other mediums. I have been painting with oils, water colors, and acrylics for years, and got really excited about polymer clay when I just happened to run across your blog. Since then, my painting is on the back burner while I excitedly follow your examples with my new found love… polymer clay!!! Thanks Caroline, You are right Cindy’s Pallets are the best place to start. I have been started to save them now. Before I would copy my recipes and file them away by color group. Until recently I have not been saving the newsletter with the pictures. I also thought a color wheel might help me make some colors of my own. I would love it if I could put a copy of Doug’s picture in my recipe box with the recipes. Until recently I just didn’t care about mixing my own colors or taking advantage of Doug’s wonderful pictures with Cindy’s magnificent colors. NOW I AM – Thank you Cindy and Doug the Dynamic Duo. Cindy, thanks for choosing this flower and palette of colors. The snapdragon was very special to me too. When we first moved into our dilapidated farm house, while my Dad worked on the insulation, windows, and redid the floors, my Mom started raking, mowing and creating garden areas. The snapdragons were on sale at the local nursery so we got them. Tons of them. My first attempt at planting, watering, and deheading. They grew fabulously. We even saved seed from year to year. Every time I close my eyes I can see those beds of them, in every color imaginable. Such joy. I was driving home the other day and was admiring the gorgeous sunflowers that were in the bright sun. What a beautiful pendant this would make, like the example in the video but put together slightly differently. The “fresh turned soil” color is something that needs to be used by anyone who gardens. Could make the B-series a separate situation somehow. If indeed the reason the B-series is not treated the same as the A-series is because it is too much extra work, then perhaps members should pay extra or something.
