Member Benefits 045-3: Tutoring Support

Polymer Clay Membership SiteHi Cindy! Thanks a million for all that you do for us clayers – I’ve learned so much. This is the first crafting hobby I’ve actually stayed with because your weekly videos keep my attention, and I try new stuff! :) I know you and Doug are busy, busy, busy, and I appreciate that as much as the rest of your avid followers! Thanks again for everything. ~Melissa-S >> This comment was originally posted at this link: It Takes a Village… to Raise a Polymer Clay Community

Being so new here and having just bought some of the back issues there are so many things you’ve shown that I want to try.. NOW! :) And you make it so easy! This site is great and I’m so glad I found it.  There’s such an amazing amount information I find myself on here for hours even when I just want to pop in for a few minutes. I’ll read one of your articles and I have to check out the links you have there so I open a new tab for this one, then that one.. After awhile I have 10 tabs with info I want to read! Then, of course, all of those articles have links, and before I know it it’s 11 o’clock (am) and my morning is gone! Anyway, just wanted to say thank you to you and your hubby for going to such lengths to teach and mentor all of us. I always get so much inspiration here. Oh, and I absolutely love the color recipe cards too!! ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Video Library

As a teacher myself, I tend to notice teaching styles and you are a natural.  Very clear instruction, the pieces are broken down to the most basic levels and then built up. Thank you so much! ~Desiree-J >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Library

I hope everyone who is still “thinking” and “debating” about joining would give it a shot. I have really learned sooooo much here. The only complaint I have is that Friday only comes once a week! :) ~Catalina >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Cute Little Hollow Puffy Beads

Cindy is not only a great teacher, she is also a mentor – at least she is mine. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Ah Cindy! You must be so proud! You are a wonderful teacher! Look at all this fabulous work that would never have been done without your help! Well done to the artists and to the teacher!! ~Aims >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Projects

Wow! How did I miss this before? I knew that artists and crafters had a lot in common, but I had no idea that these 8 stages were so universal… and shared by such talented artists as our clay/jewelry goddess, Cindy!  I laughed my way through each one and thought… yes, this is exactly what I do with sewing, painting, knitting, jewlery-making, polymer clay, and every other creative obsession I’ve been seized by over the years.  How nice to know that I’m not alone. I’m one of those who hits the wall between at #3. No sooner do I have the lusted-after item than I get totally overwhelmed with the fear of ruining the project and wasting the supplies.  I do finally move on to #4, but sometimes it takes awhile to get there. Not so much with polymer clay, though. One of the best things about Cindy’s tutorials is that they get me over the fear hump to the passion stage. Willow’s insight on perfectionism is so astute for someone her age! ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted at this link: 8 Stages of Creativity for Polymer Clay Artist

Cindy, have I mentioned how happy I am that I found you?  I just feel so blessed to be a part of your wonderful community with such awesome, generous and gracious people. ~Cheryl-V >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Cracking Heart Beads

I would just like to say to you Cindy and family and all the members all the very best for Xmas and the new year. Since I joined you I have never looked back, I have learned so much and looking forward to 2010 that’s if I have room in my old brain to store all you have taught me. Love to you and yours from the UK. ~Ritzs >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Cindy! Enjoy your break and thank you for all the wonderful inspiration and advise you have given this past year. Can’t wait for the new years posts! ~Shannon-L >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Inspiration

You are a role model to us all at many levels. ~Penny-V >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Learning

I love your weekly emails, it is the best email I have had all week. Can’t wait till next Friday. ~Cara-L >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Inlay Techniques

Thank you for the review Cindy, and the information about Lisa’s blog. I am always on the lookout for new ideas and new ideas often come to me when I am looking at something that is not “polymer”. In fact, I am often inspired to try to “re-create” or see if this or that can be done in clay. Also, thanks for the disclosure statement. It is very refreshing to see the value of honesty really demonstrated. The world needs to see more of that now more than ever. ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted at this link: A Bead In Time by Lisa Crone

Cindy: You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time BUT you are probably going to achieve pleasing all of the people all of the time! Bravissima! ~Susan-B >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Purple Leopard Print Cane

Thank you all for your kind words..!! Our clay community is so inspiring – thanks for getting us all together Cindy. I had so much fun making the canes, making the beads, and making the purse charm. ~Lisa-W >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Tribal Canes and Faux Bone

Cindy, I wanted to thank you for featuring my polymer clay mirrors on your Spotlight. This has been such a great experience. I’ve been surprised and appreciative of the wonderful comments people have written. It’s so great to receive feedback from others working in this medium. I really appreciate your efforts in creating a very special place for us to come together to share ideas! Sincerely. ~Marsha-G >> This comment was originally posted at this link: UV Resin Technique Video

I am enjoying and look forward to your video tutorials every Friday and I try to keep up with your tweets… a wealth of info on that Twitter site too. ~Louise-T >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay How To Videos

Cindy helped me straighten out my paypal account when my payment to her was denied because I had to change my credit card.  She is a gem!! So helpful and patient!!!! ~Sandra-G >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Bead Giveaway Contest

Well again, I made a major blunder. Getting too excited about loosing contact with my favorite tutor, Cindy. After I checked my spam file I found that I accidentally deleted the polymer clay newsletter from Cindy. That through me into a real scare. I removed it from the spam file and added Cindy to my address book and hopefully it won’t happen again. Thank you Cindy for helping me through this. ~Carolyn-K >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Faux Dichroic Glass Video

The info here is so cool, Cindy, I did the Blend and Switch, made some fopals (12, some white, some black), and made some generic beads with my roller. I’ve been collecting this stuff for nearly a year, but your Friday courses have really inspired me to do something with it. Thanks! ~Barb-L >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Blend and Switch Technique
