I am continuously impressed every Friday when a new tutorial comes out! As a complete newbie to polymer clay, I started out by purchasing Cindy’s beginner course. The amount of information jam packed into that course is priceless! I looked around my area for polymer clay courses, and was unable to find one for under $70 for a 3 hour class. By purchasing Cindy’s course, I instantly had access to 2.5 hours of polymer clay instruction, and I could watch in the privacy of my own home! If you’re anything like me, you only retain about 75% of the information the first time around. With Cindy’s course I can re-watch as many times as necessary, and even bring my laptop into my craft area! I then purchased the membership, and continued to be impressed! I have since purchased almost all of the back issue packages! The creativity, quality and ease with which the lessons are presented make working with polymer clay so easy! I’m constantly amazed by what I am able to create! For only $9.95 every 3 months? Definitely well worth the money! Cindy, I have watched all the videos in your Beginner’s Course at least twice (some more!). It is obvious you are a natural teacher who enjoys and has mastery of her subject matter. Your experience working in television has enhanced your sense of pacing and editing. Cindy, you have a way of making a technique seem much easier no matter how many times I have done it before. This is why I don’t think I would ever be able to say no to a tute from you. I learned this from the get go when I felt I already knew enough that the beginners course would not benefit me. Yea Right!!. I still to this day go back and review that course and get something new from it every time. There is no such thing about knowing enough when it comes to anything. Certainly not PC. For now I will have to be happy googling the lanyard and finding out what I can about it there. It will not be the same though. THANK YOU Cindy and Doug for any and all you share with us. Hey little beauty, well I am on the start of a wonderful and hopefully long road. No one should begin any sport, instrument, art, etc., without the prior proper lessons and knowledge. It won’t stop us from making mistakes along the way but it sure will help us make a lot less. Your Polymer Clay Tutor Course is truly one of the best I have ever taken. The best way to get started with polymer clay is to get Cindy’s fundamentals/beginners course, aka the Polymer Clay Basics Course. It has 39 short-and-to-the-point videos that help you watch and understand the various steps, so you completely “get it” and avoid the mistakes most beginners make. It’s a great course, and will answer those questions that come up when you’re starting out. Cindy’s videos are really well done. They’re clear, up-close, with great sound — it’s like you’re right there with her. You can get 3 free videos (a great way to see what they’re like) if you sign up for her free newsletter. I bought Cindy’s Beginner Course tonight – now I have her with me all the time. I can correct all the little mistakes that were causing me so much trouble. Just watched two of the videos and I have made some corrections in my beading technique. Well worth the cost – don’t know why I waited so long. Hi Cindy, after watching a few of your beginners course videos, I see why I’ve not had the best results. I bought Kato clay which may be too stiff for a beginner and takes too long and too much effort to condition. I also think I tried to condition too much at a time. I am going to follow your suggestion of buying a couple of brands and experimenting. I also realized that I didn’t let the clay rest properly between steps. Hi Cindy, I am new to polymer clay and designing or creating different types of medium of jewelry, and I must say I am truly loving the ability and all the possibilities of working with polymer clay. Your beginner course videos have truly helped me understand that even I can create with the gift of the way you describe and direct me on creating wonderful pieces. In the beginner lessons you introduced me to different ways to accomplish what I am wanting to create. Such as mixing, creating, shaping, firing, sanding, buffing, gluing, tumbling, and a finished product. // I also look forward to every Friday video. I have learned to create beautiful, not a lot of effort beads that fit in my time frame of doing what I love to do. Since joining I have purchased almost all the back issues, created a color mixing spreadsheet, and still have not been able to do all the projects but it is on my to do list. // I might watch one of your videos several times just to make sure I can absorb what you are saying and I so love the fact that I can replay the videos as much as I want. I truly like the fact that we can purchase the back issues because I get to learn what I would have missed had I not been able to purchase them. // So many beautiful beads and techniques I have learned to do. The possibilities are endless. I really love using the future and the E6000 adhesive. You have different ways to accomplish the same result that I can chose which way I like to do things. I can now make rings of different sizes and can make faux stones at a fraction of the cost and I can also be proud of because I am the true creator and not just an assembler. I can determine how I want my stone shaped and if I want to be able to string it or place it in a bezel. And yes all of this is from watching your beginner course which of course made me more curious and expanded my knowledge and now I am ‘on the roll’. // Before taking this course I knew nothing of polymer clay except that I can mix and make beads, who knew there was a whole world of possibilities out there. Thank you Cindy and keep doing what you do best. Explaining by your mistakes so I don’t have to make any! Give us the different ways to sand, buff, finish because without those tutes I wouldn’t know which way was best for me.
