Cindy – just wanted to tell you that I love your tutorials. I have learned more in the last two weeks than I have in the last four years. I love working with clay but you have made it into an obsession for me. I learn so much faster when I can see it done rather than reading and making so many mistakes. I had made up my mind to pay for the video lessons at another site, at upwards of fifty dollars for just one class. Then I stumbled upon your site. Wow!!! you have made it affordable even for those of us on a limited income. THANK You so much! I will continue to purchase all the back issues as I can and look forward to all the new ones. Cindy I just have to tell you that this technique is a wonderful addition to your teaching. Beautiful and it looks easy for a technique that at first seemed intimidating. One other thing I want to say. I just purchased a video from another publisher about resin work. The artist is quite well known, as well as the company. However, the quality of the video was no where comparable to your videos. You and your husband do such a wonderful job producing your videos that it is the standard from which I judge others… and I have yet to find any that don’t come up short! Your instructions are clear, the photography is excellent, and the boxed close ups are so valuable. You do beautiful work, and provide a great value too. You won’t find better – or less expensive – videos any where. Cindy’s videos are Class AAA. Her husband, Doug, does the filming. Dear Cindy. Well, I am sitting here for hours just enjoying all that you have to offer!!! It is actually 3:38 in the morning where I am, and I just finished going through many videos… some that were new to me, and some that I had seen months ago. It is really cool seeing the ones I already saw before, because it is like I am seeing them with new eyes, and learning even more the second time around! I became a regular member a few weeks ago. I thought about doing it when I first came across this blog, but I put it off. Now I am kicking myself, because I missed out on all that value! At least now I will get future videos at the super cheap price. I will also try to pick up the back issues every time I can afford to. I just love this site and Cindy’s videos! I have made molds for old buttons and pieces of jewelry with scrap clay but I have to admit this looks so much easier. Thank you for the way you walk us through the tute Cindy, you have a way of simplifying it. Thank you Doug for you awesome filming. Without you Cindy would not be able to show us any of this. Hi Cindy and all, just watched this weeks video on Mixing colour recipes. Thank you so much Cindy. I do exactly what you do and had figured it all by my little self, but it is so good to see it reiterated here and to know I have been going the right way about it. The tip about putting the 4 colours in a plastic bag, is great as I never know what to do with the left overs as I seem to make a bit much sometimes, if not making the project for it at the time, but was not so organised as to the clay leftovers, so that was a help. I do use my cutters just like you demonstrated, so was glad to see, it was a good AHA moment for me, and I felt good that I am doing it right, or at least in the same manner. It is always good to see it done visually like this, and these videos put us right there with you. So thanks for your wonderful videos, they really make my week. BTW I was working with some new students today on colour mixing so it is timely for me to enhance what I think I know about it. I have a collection like you and giggled to myself when you said you had quite a few recipes printed out but not got to doing the chip yet, same here, I am so behind with that too. I am new to polymer clay, and want to learn all I can. So now I will be able to do so with the help of your videos. They are so informative and the close-ups are super.
